The Good2 story
I started good2.com in 2009 after long time preparation.
The idea is simple: life is too short, universe is too vast, instead of worrying too much and fighting each other, lets just enjoy you and me, and anything good.
good two should always feel good too.
The philosophy did not strike me just in one day.
After I graduated from Beijing University (or Peking University) with major in astrophysics, I went to China Academy of Science and obtained my Master degree, later I spent 6 years in Hawaii to purse my PhD in astronomy/solar physics and master degree in computer science (I had straight As in all 23 computer classes, yes I still feel good too till today), during that time, I took part in a few NASA space projects.
During this long period of academic life, I really had a lot of time to think while staring at the endless cosmos.
I realized the people need to be encouraged positively, especially in the harsh environment like we are in now during current gigantic global economic crisis, we need to provide a way so people can communicate and feel good too after.
Fortunately I have been working in internet industry since 1998 in silicon valley, USA.
With the world finally zeros in onto the internet, and more and more educated people from both English and Chinese speaking countries connected with just a key stroke away (In middle year of 2008: China has 253 million Internet users and USA has 223.1 million), the day to make us all live happily after finally came.
Good2 is a multiple language based social and business networking web site that provides online communities, personal pages, media portals, blogs, forums, events, groups, private messages systems, classifieds, yellow pages, prayer, business listings, games etc. Its goal is to provide a positive virtual world for all the people to like, love and live.
Good2 is still in his infant organic growing stage. But we have confidence that we can gain support to expand our business to better serve and make people feel good about life they are living.
Good2 is multi-language SNS platform, provides bidding, ads, market, event, group, forum, blog, photo, game, personal page, texting, sharing etc services: buying or selling, texting or sharing, grouping or blogging, playing or praying, profiling or showing, calendaring or tracking. Auto-translation, in case of English input, after publishing, user will see the postings has Chinese translation attached to message title and main body, and vice visa. Although imprecise, it provides a good foundation for user to later update the translation freely and this scheme also costs effectively.
